iShare enables public sector organisations across Kent and Medway to collaborate and share electronic resources. It’s had full uptake across the County and is now being rolled out nationally which is beyond expectation. The initiative is more pertinent than ever considering the likelihood of reduced public sector funding over the coming years.
Each member has their own profile. Training courses are recommended to them based on the details they add. Each time the user logs in, they find new recommendations awaiting them making the system feel alive, relevant and engaging.
A questions section encourages users to collaborate by either asking a question or posting a response. This breaks away from tradition in that local authorities are no longer confined to geographical boundaries in terms of their learning.
Training courses and other electronic resources are easy to locate via a tag-based search and filter mechanism.
Users are able to connect with others.
